dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini berjudul “Aspek Etika Dalam Hubungan Antara Public
Relations Officer Dengan Jurnalis (Analisis Deskriptif Kualitatif Aspek Etika
dalam Hubungan Antara Public Relations Officer PT Pertamina (Persero)
Marketing Operation Region (MOR) I dengan Jurnalis Media Online Kota
Medan)”. Ada beberapa tujuan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: pertama: untuk
menganalisis pandangan Public Relations Officer PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR I
mengenai hubungannya dengan Jurnalis Media Online di Kota Medan terkait
dengan aspek etika profesinya. Kedua: untuk menganalisis pandangan Jurnalis
Media Online di Kota Medan mengenai hubungannya dengan Public Relations
Officer PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR I terkait dengan kode etik jurnalistik.
Ketiga: untuk menganalisis aspek etika dalam hubungan antara Public Relations
Officer PT Pertamina (MOR) I dengan Jurnalis Media Online di Kota Medan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigm positivisme. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti
menggunakan beberapa teori yang relevan, yaitu: Komunikasi, Public Relations,
Media Relations, Kode Etik Perhumas, Jurnalistik, Jurnalis, Jurnalis Media
Online, Kode Etik Jurnalistik, Etika, dan Etika Profesi. Mengacu pada tujuan
penelitian, maka kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) Hubungan yang
terjalin antara PRO PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR I dengan jurnalis media online
di Kota Medan telah terjalin dengan baik dan akrab. Namun dalam pelaksanaan
kegiatan kehumasannya, PRO PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR I diketahui telah
melanggar kode etik PRs yaitu memberikan uang transport kepada jurnalis
mitrakerjanya dan melakukan trik pengalihan isu agar berita di media tetap
bernilai positif. 2) Hubungan antara jurnalis dengan PRO PT Pertamina (Persero)
MOR I telah terjalin dengan sangat baik dan akrab. Diketahui bahwa jurnalis telah
melanggar beberapa pasal dalam kode etik jurnalistik sepeti menerima uang dan
vocher di mana itu merupakan bentuk suap. Selain itu menuliskan berita yang
tidak netral karena merasa segan kepada PRO PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR I jika
menuliskan berita yang negatif. 3) Hubungan yang terjalin antara PRO PT
Pertamina (Persero) MOR I telah terjalin dengan sangat baik. Namun, kedekatan
antara kedua profesi ini seharusnya jangan membawa dampak negatif bagi
keduanya sehingga dalam melaksanakan kegiatannya dapat melanggar kode etik
profesinya masing-masing. PRs bekerjalah berdasarkan aturan PRs maupun SOP
perusahaan dan jurnalis harus bekerja berdasarkan kode etik jurnalistik yang telah

dc.description.abstract | The title of this study is "Ethical Aspects in the Relationship Between
Public Relations Officers and Journalists (Qualitative Descriptive Analysis of
Ethical Aspects in the Relationship Between Public Relations Officer PT
Pertamina (Persero) Marketing Operation Region (MOR) I and Medan Online
Media Journalists)". There are several objectives in this study, first: to analyze
the views of PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR I Public Relations Officer regarding
its relationship with Online Media Journalists in Medan City related to the ethical
aspects of their profession. Second: to analyze the views of Online Media
Journalists in Medan City regarding their relationship with PT Pertamina
(Persero) MOR I's Public Relations Officer related to ethical journalism codes.
Third: to analyze ethical aspects in the relationship between Public Relations
Officer PT Pertamina (MOR) I and Online Media Journalists in Medan City. The
paradigm used for this research is positivism. In this study, researcher used
several relevant theories, namely: Communication, Public Relations, Media
Relations, Perhumas Code of Ethics, Journalism, Journalists, Online Media
Journalists, Journalistic Code of Ethics, Ethics, and Professional Ethics.
Referring to the research objectives, the conclusions of this study are: 1) The
relationship between PRO PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR I and online media
journalists in Medan City has been well and intimate. However, in the
implementation of its public relations activities, PRO PT Pertamina (Persero)
MOR I is known to have violated the PRs ethical codes by providing cash for the
road to journalists and carrying out diversion of issues so that news in the media
remains positive. 2) The relationship between journalists and PRO PT Pertamina
(Persero) MOR I has been very well and intimate. It is known that journalists
have violated several articles in the ethical journalism codes such as receiving
money and voucher, which is a form of bribery. They also write news that is not
neutral because they feel reluctant to PRO PT Pertamina (Persero) MOR I if they
write negative news. 3) The relationship between PRO PT Pertamina (Persero)
MOR I has been very well established. However, the closeness between the two
professions should not have a negative impact on both of them so that in carrying
out their activities they can violate their respective professional ethics codes. PRs
work based on PRs rules and company SOPs and journalists must work based on
the journalistic code of ethics that has been set. | en_US |
