dc.description.abstractPlant soursop (Annona muricata L.) has been used for generations by some communities in Indonesia to treat the disease. Soursop leaves is used as an alternative treatment for cancer treatment, such as consume soursop leaves boiled water. In addition to the treatment of cancer, soursop plant is also used for the treatment of skin diseases such as boils. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of soursop leaves of young and old against Staphylococcus aureus, determine the content of secondary metabolites, and knowing the diameter of inhibitory young leaves and old leaves of soursop in inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus. Soursop leaves extracted by maceration using ethanol 96%. The extract obtained is then carried out phytochemical screening. Antibacterial activity test was conducted usingdisc the Kirby-Bauer diffusion. This study used 11 concentration of 500 mg/mL, 400 mg/mL, 300 mg/mL, 200 mg/mL, 100 mg/mL, 80 mg/mL, 60 mg/mL, 40 mg/mL, 20 mg/mL, 10 mg/mL and 1 mg/mL. A negative control using a DMSO. Based on phytochemical screening, ethanol extract of soursop leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, steroids/triterpenoids and glycosides. The antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of soursop leaves of young and old do not have a significant difference to the inhibition of bacteria. Staphylococcus aureus can be seen at a concentration of 500 mg/mL is equal to 10.87 mm and 8.68 mm, the concentration of 400 mg/mL is equal to 9.15 mm and 7.3 mm, a concentration of 300 mg/mL is equal to 8.34 mm and 6.30 mm, a concentration of 200 mg/mL is equal to 8.23 mm and 7.08 mm, a concentration of 100 mg/mL is equal to 6.32 mm and 6.18 mm and in a concentration of 80 mg/mL did not leave a diameter inhibitory to bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. This prove that the difference is not too much so it is not any significant difference soursop leaves of young and old soursop leaves.en_US
dc.description.abstractTanaman sirsak (Annona muricata L.) telah digunakan secara turun temurun oleh sebagian masyarakat Indonesia untuk mengobati penyakit. Daun sirsak dimanfaatkan sebagai pengobatan alternative untuk pengobatan kanker, yakni dengan mengkonsumsi air rebusan daun sirsak. Selain untuk pengobatan kanker, tanaman sirsak juga dimanfaatkan untuk pengobatan penyakit kulit seperti bisul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun sirsak muda dan tua terhadap Staphylococcus aureus, menentukan kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder, dan mengetahui diameter hambat daun muda dan daun tua sirsak dalam menghambat Staphylococcus aureus. Daun sirsak diekstraksi secara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Ekstrak yang diperoleh kemudian dilakukan skrining fitokimia. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi cakram Kirby-Bauer. Penelitian ini menggunakan 11 konsentrasi yaitu 500 mg/mL, 400 mg/mL, 300 mg/mL, 200 mg/mL, 100 mg/mL, 80 mg/mL, 60 mg/mL, 40 mg/mL, 20 mg/mL, 10 mg/mL dan 1 mg/mL. Kontrol negatif menggunakan DMSO. Berdasarkan skrining fitokimia, ekstrak etanol daun sirsak mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, steroid/triterpenoid dan glikosida. Aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun sirsak muda dan tua tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap daya hambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Dapat dilihat pada konsentrasi 500 mg/mL yaitu sebesar 10,87 mm dan 8,68 mm, konsentrasi 400 mg/mL yaitu sebesar 9,15 mm dan 7,3 mm, konsentrasi 300 mg/mL yaitu sebesar 8,34 mm dan 6,30 mm, konsentrasi 200 mg/mL yaitu sebesar 8,23 mm dan 7,08 mm, konsentrasi 100 mg/mL yaitu sebesar 6,32 mm dan 6,18 mm sedangkan pada konsentrasi 80 mg/mL tidak memberikan diameter hambat terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Ini membuktikan bahwa perbedaannya tidak terlalu jauh sehingga tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan daun sirsak muda dan daun sirsak tua.en_US
