dc.description.abstractResearch on insect diversity in monoculture and multicultural rice fields in Silak Village, Penanggalan District, Subulussalam City has been conducted from May to July 2018. The study aimed to determine insect diversity in four different types of rice fields, monoculture and multicultural rice fields. Determination of sampling location by purposive random sampling and insect sampling by the net swing method combined with direct observation. The results showed that location 1 consisted of 8 orders, 17 families and 27 species, location 2 (rice+beans) consisted of 8 orders and 23 families and 31 species, location 3 (rice+coffee) consisted of 9 orders, 19 families and 23 species and location 4 (rice+corn) consisted of 8 orders, 16 families and 20 species. The role of insects found were as a pest, predator, parasitoid, pollinator and neutral. The presence of insects in the vegetative phase was higher than the generative phase. The highest diversity index and uniformity of insect was found in location 2 while the lowest diversity index was at location 4 and the lowest uniformity index was at location 1. The highest insect similarity index was found in location 3 and 4, the lowest similarity index was at location 1 and 4. Multicultural rice fields can reduce the number of rice pests and the best field condition was location 4 (rice+corn).en_US
dc.description.abstractPenelitian keanekaragaman serangga pada sawah padi monokultur dan multikultur di Dusun Silak, Kecamatan Penanggalan, Kota Subulussalam telah di lakukan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Juli 2018. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman serangga di empat lokasi dengan tipe pertanaman sawah yang berbeda yaitu sawah padi monokultur dan multikultur. Penentuan lokasi sampling secara purposive random sampling dan pengambilan sampel serangga menggunakan metode jaring ayun dan pengamatan langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lokasi 1 terdiri atas 8 ordo, 17 famili dan 27 spesies, lokasi 2 (padi+kacang) terdiri atas 8 ordo, 23 famili dan 31 spesies, lokasi 3 (padi+kopi) terdiri atas 9 ordo, 19 famili dan 23 spesies dan lokasi 4 (padi+jagung) terdiri atas 8 ordo, 16 famili dan 20 spesies. Peranan serangga yang ditemukan yaitu sebagai hama, predator, parasitoid, polinator dan netral. Kehadiran serangga pada fase vegetatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan fase generatif. Indeks keanekaragaman dan keseragaman serangga tertinggi terdapat pada lokasi 2 sedangkan indeks keanekaragaman terendah terdapat pada lokasi 4 dan indeks keseragaman terendah terdapat pada lokasi 1. Indeks similaritas serangga tertinggi terdapat pada lokasi 3 dan 4, indeks similaritas terendah terdapat pada lokasi 1 dan 4. Persawahan padi multikultur dapat menurunkan jumlah hama padi dan yang terbaik adalah lokasi 4 (padi+jagung).en_US
