dc.description.abstractPenelitian mengenai pengaruh aditif Nd2O3 Terhadap sifat fisis, sifat magnet dan struktur kristal pada pembuatan magnet Barium Hexaferit (BaFe12O19) dengan menggunakan metode metalurgi serbuk telah dilakukan. Aditif Nd2O3 divariasikan antara lain : 0%, 0,8% dan 1,2% wt dan suhu sintering divariasi : 1.100℃ , 1.150℃ dan 1.200℃ yang masing-masing ditahan selama 2 jam menggunakan tungku listrik thermolyne. Proses preparasi material dasar berupa Barium Karbonat (BaCO3), (Fe2O3) murni, dan Neodymium oksida (Nd2O3) dilakukan dengan pencampuran menggunakan mortar dalam media etanol selama 30 menit. Bahan kemudian dikeringkan dalam oven selama 2 jam. Selanjutnya serbuk tersebut digerus dan dilakukan kalsinasi dengan suhu 1.000℃ dengan lama penahanan 1 jam. Serbuk hasil kalsinasi kemudian dihaluskan menggunakan mortar. Pencetakan serbuk dilakukan dengan pencampuran binder celuna WE-518 sebanyak 3%. Proses kompaksi dilakukan dengan diameter 18,32 mm dan tebal 4,42 mm. Karakterisasi yang dilakukan meliputi : pengukuran bulk density, susut bakar, flux density, analisa struktur kristal dengan XRD dan analisa sifat magnetik menggunakan VSM. Dari hasil pengukuran bulk density, susut bakar, dan flux magnetic menunjukkan bahwa nilai cendrung meningkat semakin tingginya suhu sintering, terkecuali pada flux magnetik tanpa ada penambahan aditif cendrung menurun seiring meningkatnya suhu sintering. Dari hasil karakterisasi bulk density dan flux magnetic diperoleh hasil optimum yaitu pada penambahan Nd2O3 0,8% dengan suhu 1.200℃. Pada kondisi ini diperoleh : nilai bulk density = 5,043 gr/cm3 dan flux magnet = 464,75 G, nilai susut bakar 10,2% .en_US
dc.description.abstractResearch on the Additive effect Nd2O3 To the physical properties, Magnetic properties and Crystal structure on the manufacture of Barium Hexaferrite (BaFe12O19) by using the method metallurgy has been done. Nd2O3 additivevariations include : 0%, 0,8%, and 1,2% wt and temperature sintering variations : 1.100℃ , 1.150℃, and 1.200℃ hold for 1 hours using a Thermolyne electric furnace. The preparation process of basic materials such as Barium Carbonate (BaCO3), (Fe2O3) pure, and Neodymium oxide (Nd2O3)is done by the mortar mixing for 30 minute using ethanol. Then it is dried at oven for 2 hours. then the powders were crushed. After that,continue by calcination with temperature 1.000 ℃ with 1 hour detention time. Calcined powders results then mashed by hand mortar. The molding process done by mixing powder binder celuna WE-518 with 3% composition. The process of compaction is done with pressing 8 ton to form a pellet with a diameter of 18,32 mm and 4,42 mm thick. The characterizations was conducted : measurement of bulk density, keel fuel, flux density, Analysis of crystal structure with XRD and Analysis of magnetic properties using VSM. From the measurement of bulk density, keel fuel and flux density shows that the value tends to increase the higher sintering temperature, Except for the magnetic flux without any additive additions tends to decrease as the sintering temperature increases. From the characterization of bulk density and magnetic flux, the optimum result is obtained at the addition of Nd2O3 0,8% with temperature 1,200 ℃. In this condition obtained: bulk density of 5.043 gr / cm3 and flux magnet of 464.75 G, keel fuel of 10.2%.en_US
