Efektiftas Kombinasi Metode Penyampaian Pesan terhadap Perilaku Buang Sampah pada Siswa di MTs Negeri Simpang Ulim Kabupaten Aceh Timur

Abstract

School age is the period of anxiety in instilling PHBS (Clean and Healthy Life Behavior). The realization of PHBS is the behavior of throwing away garbage allhe right place. The result of the preliminary study at MTsN Simpang Ulim, Aceh Timur Regency revealed thai/he students tended 10 throwaway garbage at random or nol 01 the right place; Ihere/ore, il was necessary (0 promote health. The objective of the research was 10 analyze the effectiveness a/peer education me/hod on the behavior of throwing garbage 01 random in the students of MTs Neger; Simpang Ulim, Aceh Timur Regency. The research used quasi experimental method with quantitative and group pretest and posltest design The population was 264 Grode VIlI students, and 32 of them were used as the samples, taken by using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Primary crola were gathered by USing questionnaires and secondary data through documentary study. They were analyzed by using univariate analysis to get the description of each variable and bivariate analysis to analyze the correlation among the variables. The result of the research showed thai be/ore the intervention, 68.80/& of the respondents had good mowledge, 53.) % of the responiknts had positive altitude, and 68.8% 0/ the respondents did not take any action. After the combination of message conveying method through movies, lecture, and discussion, 90.6% of the respondents hod good Iawwledge, 84.4% of the respondents hod positive attitude, and 90.6% of the respondents did not take any action. The implementation 0/ message conveying method through movies, lectures, and discussion was effictive in increasing the behavior of throwing garbage (p < 0.05). The conclusion was that it was evidence that there was the influence 0/ message conveying method on the behavior a/throwing away garbage in the students 0/ Mrs Negeri Simpang Wim, Aceh Timur Regency.

Usia anak sekolah merupakan masa keemasan untuk menanamkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS). Salah satu wujud PHBS di sekolah adalah perilaku membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Hasil studi pendahuluan di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Simpang Ulim Kabupaten Aceh Timur Siswa cenderung membuang sampah sembarangan atau tidak pada tempatnya meskipun tempat sampah sudah disediakan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan upaya promosi kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektifitas kombinasi metode penyampaian pesan terhadap perilaku buang sampah siswa di MTs Negeri Simpang Ulim Kabupaten Aceh Timur Jenis penelitian adalah quasi experiment dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain one group pre test and post test design. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 264 orang. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling sebanyak 32 orang. Pengumpulan data primer melalui kuesioner dan data sekunder melalui studi dokumentasi. Teknis analisis data secara univariat untuk memperoleh gambaran setiap variabel, bivariat untuk menganalisis hubungan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum intervensi pengetahuan siswa mayoritas baik (68,8%), sikap mayoritas baik (53,1%) dan tindakan mayoritas baik (68,8%). Setelah diterapkan kombinasi metode penyampaian pesan yaitu pemutaran film, ceramah dan diskusi, pengetahuan siswa mayoritas baik (90,6%), sikap mayoritas baik (84,4%) dan tindakan mayoritas baik (90,6%). Berbanding sebelum intervensi. Penerapan kombinasi terbukti efektif terhadap peningkatan perilaku buang sampah siswa dengan (p) < 0,05. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian bahwa ada pengaruh kombinasi metode penyampaian pesan terhadap perilaku buang sampah pada siswa di MTs Negeri Simpang Ulim Kabupaten Aceh Timur terbukti.
