dc.description.abstractIda Rumia Manurung. 2017. “Physiology Response of Fourth Generation Saline Resistant Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) With Application of Several Types of Antioxidants”, supervised by Rosmayati and Nini Rahmawati. The objective of the research was to know the effect of various antioxidant treatments with different concentrations on soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) fourth generation physiology in saline condition. This research was conducted in plastic house, Research and Technology Laboratory, Plant Tissue Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara and Plant Physiology Laboratory Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Science, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan (±25 m above sea level) also in Research Centers and Industry Standardization, Medan (±25 m above sea level) from July until December 2016. The method used was non factorial Randomized Block Design that was without antioxidants, ascorbic acid 250 ppm, ascorbic acid 500 ppm, ascorbic acid 750 ppm, salicylic acid 250 ppm, a5 salicylic acid 500 ppm, salicylic acid 750 ppm, alpha tocopherol 250 ppm, alpha tocopherol 500 ppm, and alpha tocopherol 750 ppm. The results of this research showed that the treatment of antioxidant kind and dosage affected not significantly to physiology of fourth generation soybean. Descriptively the highest average of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) and Peroxide Dismutase (POD) was showed on ascorbic acid 250 ppm (A1). The highest average of protein was showed on ascorbic acid 750 ppm (A3) and salicylic acid 250 ppm (A4). The highest average of Ascorbate Peroxidase (APX) was showed on alpha tocopherol 750 ppm (A9). The highest average of hydrogen peroxide and carotenoid was showed on ascorbic acid 500 ppm (A2). The highest average of chlorophyll was showed on alpha tocopherol 250 ppm (A7). The highest average of relative water content was showed on salicylic acid 750 ppm (A6). The highest average of ratio of K/Na was showed on salicylic acid 250 ppm (A4).en_US

Merrill) Generasi Keempat Tahan Salin Dengan Pemberian Beberapa Jenis Antioksidan”, dibimbing oleh Rosmayati dan Nini Rahmawati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan berbagai antioksidan dengan konsentrasi berbeda terhadap fisiologi kedelai (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) generasi keempat pada kondisi salin. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di rumah plastik, Laboratorium Riset dan Teknologi, Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan dengan ketinggian tempat ± 25 meter di atas permukaan laut serta Balai Riset dan Standardisasi Industri, Medan pada ketinggian tempat ± 25 meter di atas permukaan laut pada bulan Juli sampai dengan Desember 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Non Faktorial yaitu tanpa antioksidan, Asam Askorbat 250 ppm, Asam Askorbat 500 ppm, Asam Askorbat 750 ppm, Asam Salisilat 250 ppm, Asam Salisilat 500 ppm, Asam Salisilat 750 ppm, Alfa Tokoferol 250 ppm, Alfa Tokoferol 500 ppm, dan Alfa Tokoferol 750 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan jenis dan konsentrasi antioksidan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap fisiologi kedelai generasi keempat pada kondisi salin. Secara deskriptif rataan tertinggi enzim Superoksidase Dismutase (SOD) dan enzim Peroksidase Dismutase (POD) terdapat pada perlakuan Asam Askorbat 250 ppm (A1). Rataan tertinggi protein terdapat pada perlakuan Asam Askorbat 750 ppm (A3) dan Asam Salisilat 250 ppm (A4). Rataan tertinggi enzim Askorbat Peroksidase (APX) terdapat pada perlakuan Alfa tokoferol 750 ppm (A9). Rataan tertinggi hidrogen peroksida dan kandungan karotenoid terdapat pada perlakuan Asam Askorbat 500 ppm (A2). Rataan tertinggi jumlah klorofil terdapat pada perlakuan Alfa tokoferol 250 ppm (A7). Rataan tertinggi KAR terdapat pada perlakuan Asam Salisilat 750 ppm (A6). Rataan tertinggi rasio K/Na terdapat pada perlakuan Asam Salisilat 250 ppm (A4).en_US
