dc.description.abstractEducation is a driving force to create a developed society through the employee performance of Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Dairi Sidikalang. Today, the employee worked under unsuitable educational background which has not been effectively applied, the supervision has also been not effective yet, and the discipline level was still low. A performance should be covered by all organizational interest as a method to prevent the diminishing individuals, groups, or team performance. This study aimed to determine the effect of suitable educational background, supervision, and work discipline to the employee performance of Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Dairi Sidikalang. The study was designed as descriptive quantitative research using a sensus method. A number of 53 respondents was used in this study which was all the employee of Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Dairi Sidikalang. The data were collected by interview, questionnaire, and literature study. The data were analyzed with multiple regression analysis method by using SPSS. The hypothesis was tested by the output of SPSS. This study shows that educational background had a negative and significant effect to employee performance. This study also shows that supervision had a positive and significant effect to employee performance. As for discipline, the study shows that it had a positive and significant effect to employee performance. This study shows that simultaneously, the educational background, supervision, and work discipline had a positive and significant effect to employee performance. Based on the study, Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Dairi Sidikalang should improve their supervision to create a better employee performance as the supervision is the dominant factor to influence the employee performance.en_US
