This study aims to determine the growth response and production of three varieties
of luffa plants by giving gibberellins with different concentrations. This research
was conducted in the land research of Agriculture Faculty, University of
Sumatera Utara, Medan (± 25 m asl) from August to November 2019. This
treatment was arranged by Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three repetitions.
The first factor was three luffa varieties (Prima F1 Variety, Primavera F1, and
Anggun F1) the second factor was the concentration of gibberellins (0 ppm, 100
ppm, and 200 ppm). The results showed the treatment were significant different
among varieties on number of leaf, number of primary branches, weight of fruit on
plot. The treatment of gibberellin gives significant effect to the plant lengths,
number of leaf,number of primary branches, flowering date, number of fruits,
length of the fruit, diameter of fruit, weight of fruit on plot, wet weight of crown,
and wet weight of roots. The interaction between three varieties and concentration
gibberellins had a significant effect on the number of fruit. The best varieties are
found in Anggun F1 varieties with gibberellin concentration of 200 ppm. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan dan produksi tiga
varietas tanaman gambas dengan pemberian giberelin dengan konsentrasi yang
berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksamakan di lahan penelitian Fakultas Pertanian
Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan (±25 m dpl) pada bulan Agustus hingga
November 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK)
faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu tiga varietas gambas (
Varietas Prima F1, Primavera F1, dan Anggun F1) faktor kedua yaitu konsentrasi
giberelin (0 ppm, 100 ppm, dan 200 ppm). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa perlakuan varietas menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap jumlah
daun, jumlah cabang primer, jumlah buah dan bobot buah per plot. Perlakuan
giberelin menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap panjang tanaman, jumlah
daun, jumlah cabang primer, umur berbunga, jumlah buah, panjang buah,
diameter buah, bobot buah per plot, bobot basah tajuk, dan bobot basah akar.
Interaksi antara tiga varietas dan konsentrasi giberelin berpengaruh nyata terhadap
jumlah buah. Varietas terbaik terdapat pada varietas Anggun F1 dengan
konsentrasi giberelin 200 ppm.
