dc.description.abstractTelah dilakukan penelitian potensi bioethanol gel berbahan dasar tandan kosong kelapa sawit sebagai bahan bakar kompor . Dari hasil fermentasi glukosa hasil hidrolisis selulosa tandan kosong kelapa sawit (Elaeis guinensis jack) Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh tandan kosong kelapa sawit mengandung selulosa sebesar 33,4%. Fermentasi glukosa menggunakan variasi lama fermentasi 2 hari, 4 hari dan 6 hari dengan penambahan ragi roti 6 g. Kadar bioetnaol dianalisa dengan metode specific gravity of the distillate lalu dianalisa menggunakan kromatografi gas untuk mengetahui kemurnian dari bioethanol yang diperoleh. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa kadar bioethanol tertinggi yaitu 90,07% pada lama fermentasi 6 hari, hasil analisa kromatografi gas menunjukkan hanya satu puncak, hal ini menunjukkan bioethanol yang diperoleh memiliki kemurnian yang tinggi. Bioetanol dipadatkan dengan metode wet mixing dengan mencampurkan bioetanol dan gelling agent carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). Karakterisasi dilakukan dengan cara pengujian viskositas,nilai kalor (ASTM D-2015 and ASTM D-5865-03), lama nyala, water boiling test. Menghasilkan komposisi terbaik gel bioetanol pada kode G3 dengan massa CMC 15% w/wt dan bioetanol 85% w/wt dengan viskositas 72.900 cps, nilai kalor 24.742 kJ/kg nilai ini sudah sesuai dengan standart bahan bakar Indonesia yaitu ASTM D-2015 and ASTM D-5865-03, Lama nyala 8 menit, water boiling test 10,43 menit/L pada suhu 80oC dan menghasilkan residu 0,5 g.en_US
dc.description.abstractResearch on the potential of bioethanol gel made from oil palm empty fruit bunches as stove fuel. From the results of glucose fermentation the results of cellulose hydrolysis of palm oil empty fruit bunches (Elaeis guinensis jack) From the research conducted obtained oil palm empty fruit bunches containing cellulose by 33.4%. Glucose fermentation uses variations of the fermentation time of 2 days, 4 days and 6 days with the addition of 6 g bread yeast. Bioetnaol levels were analyzed using the specific gravity of the distillate method and then analyzed using gas chromatography to determine the purity of the bioethanol obtained. From the results of the study it was found that the highest bioethanol levels were 90.07% at 6 days fermentation time, the results of the gas chromatography analysis showed only one peak, this shows the bioethanol obtained had high purity. Bioethanol is compacted by the wet mixing method by mixing bioethanol and gelling agent carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). Characterization was carried out by means of viscosity testing, heating value (ASTM D-2015 and ASTM D-5865-03), duration of flame, water boiling test. Producing the best composition of bioethanol gel in the sample code G3 with a mass CMC of 15% w / wt and bioethanol 85% w / wt with a viscosity of 72,900 cps, a calorific value of 24,742 kJ / kg this value is in accordance with the Indonesian fuel standard ASTM D-2015 and ASTM D-5865-03, 8 minutes on, water boiling test 10.43 minutes / L at 80oC and produces 0.5 g residue.en_US
