    Pengaruh Bakteri Pereduksi Sulfat dan Amelioran Terhadap Pertumbuhan Jagung pada Tanah Sulfat Masam

    Abstract
    Pemberian Bakteri Pereduksi Sulfat diharapkan dapat mengurangi penggunaan kapur untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah sulfat masam dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek kombinasi Bakteri pereduksi sulfat dan amelioran terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman jagung, dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca Fakultas Pertanian dan Laboratorium Biologi Tanah, Universitas Sumatera Utara, dari bulan November sampai Februari 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu B0 (Kontrol) ; B1 (Bakteri Pereduksi Sulfat) dan faktor kedua terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu P0 (Kontrol) ; P1 (Bahan Organik) ; P2 (Bahan Organik + NPK) ; P3 (Kapur CaCO3 + NPK). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 (Empat) kali. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bakteri Pereduksi Sulfat dapat meningkatkan pH tanah dan bobot kering tajuk. Pemberian Amelioran dapat meningkatkan pH tanah, tinggi tanaman, berat kering tajuk, serapan N, serapan P. Interaksi Bakteri Pereduksi Sulfat dengan Amelioran mampu meningkatkan pH tanah.
     
    Sulfate reducing bacteria is expected to reduce the use of lime to increase the fertility of acid sulfate soils and increase the growth of corn plants. The research was conducted to determine the effect of a combination of sulfate reducing bacteria and ameliorant on the growth of corn plants. This research was conducted at the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture and Soil Biology Laboratory, University of North Sumatra, from November to February 2019 The research used a Randomized Block Design Factorial with 2 factors. First Factor divided into 2 levels, labely B0 (Control); B1 (Sulfate Reducing Bacteria) and second factor divided into 4 levels, labely P0 (Control); P1 (Organic Matter); P2 (Organic matter + NPK); P3 (Lime CaCO3 + NPK). Each treatment was repeated 4 (four) times. The results showed that Sulfate Reducing increase the number of soil pH and plant dry weigh. Application Ameliorant could increase number of soil pH, plant height, plant dry weigh, N uptake and p uptake of plant Interaction of sulfate reducing bacteria with ameliorant can increase soil pH.
