The limited experience and knowledge of children on foreign matters can be an obstacle for understanding the contents of the translation properly. The condition obliges the translator to be careful in choosing translation techniques in order to make his translation is acceptable among children. This research is aimed to classify cultural terms based on translation and cultural theory, analyze translation techniques based on techniques of tranlsation, and find the acceptability of translation cultural terms based on translation quality. Descriptive qualitative is applied in this research. There are 65 cultural terms for the data, 47 Data form of words and 18 Data is phrases. Data are collected through data selection, questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The result showed that material category is the most commonly found 19 data (29.23%), because this category is related to the things that are often used in daily life. The folowing category is ecology 17 data (26.15%) is related to ecology,13 data (20%) is related to socio cultural,14 data (21.54%)is related to concept and object artistic and 2 data (3.08%) is related to habits and body language. Most common translation tecniques is literal, as many as 43 data (66.15%),because data in the simplest form of word and phrase tend to be applied by this techniques, then followed by borrowing techniques as many as 5 data (7.70%), amplification techniques as many as 4 data (6.15%), adaptation techniques as many as 4 data (6.15%), generalization techniques as many as 2 data (3.07%), reduction technique 1 data (1.54%), technical description 1 data (1.54%), established equivalent 1 data (1.54 %) and modulation technique 1 data (1.54%). The acceptability of translation is considered good. 47 data (79.18%) is acceptable, the translation of cultural terms is natural, there is no vulgar terms and grammatical structure is aunderstood easily, while 18 data (20.3%) is considered less acceptable.
