    Abstract
Rural areas as residential environments have their own characteristics, including a high risk of fire. Infrastructure limitations, including unstable electricity supplies, and lack of early warning systems can increase the negative impact of fire events in rural areas. To prevent fires from occurring, a fire alarm system was created using the MQ2 sensor and DH22 sensor which can be supplied with solar or wind power. In this research the main components used are the dc-dc stepdown module, ESP8266 microcontroller, MQ2 sensor and DHT22 temperature sensor. The system designed in this research will reduce the voltage produced by solar panels and wind to the working voltage of the microcontroller, sensors and transducers used. The designed system will read temperature data and smoke levels in the room. If the temperature or smoke levels in the room are greater than the specified threshold (set point), the system will turn on a buzzer as a reminder that there is a potential for fire. Based on the results of research and design of a fire alarm system using a hybrid solar and wind power source, it can be concluded that: a. To design a fire alarm system with a solar panel and wind voltage supply, a circuit is needed that can reduce the solar panel and wind voltage to working voltage microcontrollers, sensors and transducers. Apart from that, a microcontroller, MQ2 and DHT22 sensors are needed which are used to detect changes in temperature and smoke levels in the room as well as a buzzer as a warning indicator in the form of sound if the temperature and/or smoke levels in the room are greater than a predetermined limit. b. Based on the results of tests that have been carried out, this system is very effective in preventing and controlling fires because the system designed can detect potential fires through reading the temperature and smoke levels in the room, as well as providing a warning alarm. So it can minimize fires.
