Analysis of Coffee Bean Raw Material Inventory Control Using The Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Method in Coffee Companies in Medan City
Abstract
This study aims to determine how much influence the analysis of coffee bean raw material inventory control using the economic order quantity (EOQ) method has on coffee companies in Medan city. The type of research used is descriptive statistics. The population used in this study is coffee commodity companies in Medan registered with the Indonesian Coffee Exporters Association for the period 2019 - 2023, totaling 106 coffee companies. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling method of 26 companies and 130 observations. Data collection was carried out using secondary data in the form of sales reports for 2019 - 2023. The analysis carried out was a classical assumption test and then hypothesis testing was carried out using a multiple linear regression model.The results of the study showed that simultaneously all variables had a positive effect on inventory control, while the results of the study partially showed that only the total inventory cost variable had no effect on inventory control. For the safety stock variable, reorder point, and maximum inventory have a positive effect on inventory control.
