Abstract
PT. JNE (Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir) is a private company that is a company in the field of shipping services (express courier and logistics). In Medan City, PT. JNE can receive incoming goods from every region in Indonesia with an average of 3,000 packages per day. This can certainly trigger fatigue in JNE couriers. In addition, factors that cause work fatigue include the consumption of food intake by workers every morning, or better known by the public as breakfast. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between physical workload and breakfast habits with work fatigue in JNE couriers in Medan City. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were 56 JNE couriers at the Amplas ATC Warehouse Complex in Medan City. The samples were taken using total sampling. The data collection method used the IFRC questionnaire to measure work fatigue which was then analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that 50% of JNE couriers had low fatigue, 75% of couriers had a moderate workload, and 42.9% of couriers had the habit of sometimes having breakfast. There was a significant relationship between physical workload and work fatigue (p=0.001) and there was no significant relationship between breakfast habits and work fatigue (p=0.094). The researcher recommends that couriers should use GPS to plan the best route, group packages by area, and take advantage of short breaks for stretching or relaxation.
