dc.description.abstractBackground: Good and efficient education and training, both in private companies and government agencies, is essential to achieving organizational goals. Objective: This study aims to find out the role of education and training in improving employee performance at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of the Medan Mayor's Office. Education and training are one of the things that employees pay attention to an agency, including government agencies. Employees who receive quality education and training have better performance and contribute more to the achievement of organizational goals. Conversely, education and training that is not well planned, lacks relevance, or lacks effective evaluation can hinder the achievement of organizational goals. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with data collection through a questionnaire with a total of 15 respondents of Medan City BKPSDM employees. Results: The results show that the education and training program plays a very important role in improving employee performance but the education and training program at the Medan City BKPSDM is not optimal. Conclusion: This is because there are still some employees who lack understanding related to computer science and information technology.en_US
