Background : COVID-19 disease has been a pandemic for more than 2 years, but studies assessing pulmonary function tests in COVID-19 survivors are still limited. The aim of this study was to assess PFT in COVID-19 survivors to better assess the long-term effects of the COVID-19 virus.
Methods : This study was a descriptive cross-sectional study, in which lung function was assessed by spirometry. Research participants are officers who work at Medan Adventist Hospital who are survivors of COVID-19 in 2020 – 2022.
Results : In this study most were female with an average age of 32.6 ± 7.33. The sample of this study had an average BMI of ± 51.6. The comorbidities found were heart and thyroid disorders with the most common symptoms of COVID-19 survivors being fatigue. History of COVID-19 mostly with mild degrees. FEEF25- 75% results are lower in women than men. The FEEF25-75% was the lowest in the overweight BMI group with an average value of 94.06 ± 19.04. Patients with comorbid thyroid disorders have a mean FEEF25-75% higher than officers with heart problems. The symptoms of survivors of COVID-19 are insomnia and cough, which have a low average FEEF25-75% The FEEF25-75% for a history of nasal cannul is lower than for those who do not have a history of oxygenation. The degree of score is inversely proportional to the value of FEEF25-75%.
Conclusion : In survivors of mild to severe degrees of COVID-19, there is no small airway obstruction
