Analisis Pengaruh Konsumsi Energi, Emisi Karbon, dan Reduksi Emisi Gas Rumah Kaca Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Indonesia
Analysis of The Influence of Energy Consumption, Carbon Emissions, and Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction on Economic Growth in Indonesia
Abstract
In achieving the country's economic growth, a large level of energy consumption and development is needed. On the other hand, this will cause carbon emissions and greenhouse gas emissions that have an impact on the environment.
This study aims to analyze and determine the influence of energy consumption, carbon emissions, and greenhouse gas emission reduction on economic growth in Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative or uses numerical data in conducting statistical analysis to test research hypotheses. The research method used is a model Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) with data Time Series from 1991 to 2020.
The results of the study show that all independent variables have a significant influence on economic growth in Indonesia. In the short term, the energy consumption variable in the current year has a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia, while the energy consumption variable (in the previous 1 year, 2 previous years, and 3 years before) has a negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia. Then the carbon emission variable in the current year has a negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia, while the carbon emission variable (in the previous 1 year, 2 years before, and 3 years before) has a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia. Then, the greenhouse gas emission reduction variable (in the current year and the previous 3 years) has a negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia, while the greenhouse gas emission reduction variable (in the previous 1 year and 2 years before) has a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia. In the long term, the variable of energy consumption has a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia, while the variable of carbon emissions and the variable of greenhouse gas emission reduction have a negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia.
