Sorghum is a cerelia plant that has the potential to be cultivated and developed, especially in marginal and dry areas in Indonesia. In many countries, sorgum seeds are used as food, animal feed, and industrial raw materials. In Indonesia, sorghum is the third food cereal crop after rice and corn. However, its use as a food ingredient and industry is still limited due to the low genetic diversity and productivity of these plants. To increase the productivity of sorghum plants, it is necessary to use superior varieties and utilize ecoenzymes as a nutrient supplier. This study aims to evaluate the effect of ecoenzyme application on the growth and production of two varieties of sorghum. This research was carried out on Jl. Harmonika Baru, Padang Bulan Selayang II, Medan Selayang District, Medan with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level from May to September 2024. The design used in this study was prepared in a Group Randomized complete block design 2 treatment factors with 3 replicates. The first factor is the sorghum variety: the Pahat variety, and the Samurai 2 variety. The second factor is the application of ecoenzymes 0; 11,25; 22,5; 32,75 ml/l. The results showed that the two varieties differed significantly in plant height of 2-8 MST, number of leaves 2-4 MST, flowering age, and harvest age. The application of ecoenzymes significantly increased the weight of seeds per sample, the weight of seeds per plot, and the weight of 1000 seeds.en_US
