Potensi Pemandian Air Panas Puncak DP sebagai Destinasi Wisata di Kecamatan Merdeka Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

Nature tourism has great potential in the tourism system. In its development,natural tourism benefits from its geographical location and diversity of natural resources which has its own uniqueness compared to other tourism. Puncak DP Hot Springs is one of the tourist destinations located in semangat gunung village,Merdeka District,Karo Regency,North Sumatra,and is a tourist area where there are hot springs and also accommodation which has several pools and lodgings. The aim of the research is to determine the potential of the baths.Puncak DP Hot Spring as a destination in karo district. The research method carried out by the research is descriptive research to obtain the required data and information sourced from the tourist destination studied by direct interviews with the management at the Puncak DP Hot Springs in order to provide objective facts. the activities that can be done at the Puncak DP Hot Springs are very diverse according to the 5Ws of tourist attraction,namely what to see,what to do,what to buy, how to arrive,hoe to stay. Tourist who visit the Puncak DP Hot Springs will be see the natural beauty of the Puncak DP Hot Springs and can take part in hot spring bathing, overnight stays and hiking activities. Tourist cam also enjoy the superior facilities provided by the Puncak DP Hota Springs. The attraction of Puncak DP Hot Springs has a lot of potential but still has several shortcomings. Puncak DP Hot Springs have the potential for tourism development in Karo district, especially in the tourism sector.
