This study identifies an imbalance perceived by employees between their work and personal lives, where employees are less satisfied with their jobs due to unmet expectations, leading to a decline in their engagement with the company. The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of work-life balance and employee engagement on employee performance through job satisfaction at the Type A and Type B branch offices of PT ASABRI (Persero). This research uses a quantitative method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 162 employees, of which 116 respondents were selected using simple random sampling. The data was analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) technique with SmartPLS. The analysis results show that work-life balance does not have a significant effect on employee performance, either directly or through job satisfaction. On the contrary, employee engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction. Furthermore, work-life balance and employee engagement positively and significantly affect job satisfaction, which in turn has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Thus, although work-life balance does not influence performance, employee engagement and job satisfaction play a crucial role in improving employee performance at the Type A and Type B branch offices of PT ASABRI (Persero).
