dc.description.abstractDistribution is the process of channeling goods or products produced from producers to consumers. In the era of Industry 5.0, which is the era of collaboration between humans and technology in production and intense competition in cost efficiency, distribution has become a success target for companies. One of the problems in the distribution process is the high transportation costs and improper delivery routes to each destination. The implementation of this transportation model aims to solve the product distribution problems from the source to the destination by minimizing transportation costs. The distribution of each product must be arranged as well as possible because there are different distribution costs from m sources to n different destinations. This research uses a case study in the form of unbalanced data where the supply (ai)≤ demand (bj) is resolved using the Sirisha-Viola method, characterized by adjacent even-odd row and column exchanges according to demand and supply. Then, its optimality is tested using Modified Distribution (MODI). Based on calculations carried out on the case study of Perum Bulog in the North Sumatra Regional Office, the results are the optimal solution provided directly by the Sirisha - Viola method. Which is where the results obtained are smaller than the initial expenditure by the company where the company saves costs by 1.48%. The Sirisha - Viola method is proven to minimize transportation costs for unbalanced data cases.en_US
