dc.description.abstractEconomic growth and development play an important role in improving the economy and social welfare. The role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is o ne of the driving forces of the economy. This is because MSMEs can survive during times of crisis, absorb a lot of labor and most MSMEs use personal capital to develop their businesses due to the difficulty of accessing credit capital in Indonesia. Th is study aims to determine the effect of micro business, small business, medium business, labor and capital credit on the economy of the City area in North Sumatra Province for the period 2016 2022. This study uses panel data consisting of 8 cities in the North Sumatra region with a total of 56 observations. The results of testing with panel data regression panel data with a common effect model show that partially micro businesses have a negative effect on the economy, small businesses have a positive effect on the economy, medium businesses have a positive effect on the economy, labor has a positive effect on the economy and capital credit has an effect on the economy. Simultaneously, the influence of micro businesses, small businesses, medium business es, labor and capital credit has a positive effect on the economy.en_US
