dc.description.abstractIntroduction. Nutritional status in children can be influenced by various factors, some of which include the child's health condition, parental education level, and socioeconomic status. Malnutrition can affect growth and development and will impact children's intelligence at school. Private and public schools have differences in various aspects, one of which is the difference in tuition fees, where private schools tend to be more expensive than public schools. Parents with higher education levels tend to understand better that their children's learning success is influenced by teachers and schools. Therefore, parents will provide good education, a healthy environment, and supportive facilities to help their children learn. Objective. To determine the differences in the nutritional status of students at SDN 060934 and SDS Al-Azhar Medan, as well as the factors associated with it. Methods. This research is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique was conducted using total sampling, where the research population consisted of 63 samples, with 48 that have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria at SDN 060934 and SDS Al-Azhar Medan. Results and Discussion. Based on the Mann-Whitney test were found in, Weight-for-height p = 0.276, Weight-for-age p = 0.015, Height-for-age p = 0.001, Weight-for-height with health condition p = 0.001, Weight-for-age with father's education level p = 0.019, Height-for-age with father's education level p = 0.002, Height-for-age with mother's education level p = 0.017, and Height-for-age with socioeconomic status p = 0.043. Conclusion. There is no significant difference in the nutritional status of third-grade students at SDN 060934 and SDS Al-Azhar Medan. There is a significant relationship between nutritional status and health condition.en_US
