Studi Kepuasan Ibu Hamil terhadap Kualitas Pelayanan Antenatal Care (ANC) di Rumah Sakit Prof Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Background. Antenatal care (ANC) is a service provided by healthcare professionals to mothers aimed at maintaining the health of both the mother and fetus during pregnancy. The satisfaction of pregnant women with the services received leads to adherence, which impacts the improvement of the conditions of both the mother and fetus. Objective. To evaluate the level of satisfaction among pregnant women regarding the quality of antenatal care (ANC) services and to identify the sociodemographic and obstetric characteristics of pregnant women at Prof. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Hospital, University of Sumatera Utara. Methods. This study is descriptive in nature, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to pregnant women undergoing ANC examinations. Results. The majority of sociodemographic characteristics were found in the age group of 20-29, with education levels of bachelor’s degree/diploma, housewives, with more than 2 family members, a monthly income of 1,000,000-5,000,000 IDR, and living close to healthcare facilities. In terms of obstetric characteristics, most were primigravida and secundigravida, in their second ANC visit, with gestational ages of 24-27 weeks, and the first visit occurring at 13-18 weeks of gestation, with desired pregnancies and no prior history. Statistical analysis was performed using the chi-square test, yielding a p-value < 0.05. Conclusion. There is a significant relationship between the quality of ANC services and the satisfaction of pregnant women with ANC services.
