    Abstract
    Background. Low Back Pain (LBP) is a condition when there is pain and discomfort in the corners of the last ribs and above the crease of the buttocks with little or no pain in the legs. Low Back Pain (LBP) is a condition that is often experienced by individuals globally, including workers. Workers from various sectors, especially the government sector, have high work intensity. Based on research, high work intensity poses a risk of Low Back Pain (LBP) in individuals. Therefore, this research aims to assess work intensity indicators for government sector workers, namely employees of Kantor Wilayah Direktorat Jenderal Pajak Sumatera Utara I. Objective. To determine the relationship between work intensity indicators with Low Back Pain (LBP) among employees of Kantor Wilayah Direktorat Jenderal Pajak Sumatera Utara I. Method. This research is an observational analysis study using a cross-sectional research method with data collected through questionnaires with the aim of finding out the relationship between work intensity indicators and the incidence of Low Back Pain (LBP) among employees of Kantor Wilayah Direktorat Jenderal Pajak Sumatera Utara I. Results. Based on data from 109 respondents, the study results showed that there is a significant correlation between working hours and the incidence of Low Back Pain (LBP) with a value of p= 0.016 (p<0.05). The study results also showed a significant correlation between role overload and Low Back Pain (LBP) with a value of p=0.008 (p<0.05). However, time demands do not have a significant relationship with Low Back Pain (LBP) with a value of p=0.726 (p>0.05). Conclusion. Of the three indicators of work intensity, working hours and work overload have an influence on the incidence of Low Back Pain (LBP).
