Background: Stretch marks are linear atrophic lesions on the skin caused by excessive skin stretching that exceeds the limits of elasticity. Stretch marks are more common in women. The appearance of stretch marks is influenced by genetic factors, hormonal factors, and mechanical factors. The INA score is used to assess the severity of stretch marks. A high BMI is associated with an increase in body fat, which causes excessive skin stretching and the appearance of stretch marks. Objective: To determine the relationship between the severity of stretch marks based on the INA score and body mass index among female students enrolled in the 2023/2024 academic year at SMA Negeri 1 Simanindo. Method: This research is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique was total sampling with a sample size of 40 research subjects. Data were analyzed using Spearman correlation test to assess the relationship between the severity of stretch marks based on the INA score and body mass index. Results: There was a relationship (p = 0.000) between the severity of stretch marks based on the INA score and body mass index. The number of students with stretch marks was 40 students (34.2%). The most common locations for stretch marks were the sinistra and dextra thigh (30.4%). The majority of students with stretch marks had a severe severity (82.5%). The majority of students with stretch marks had normal weight (42.5%). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the severity of stretch marks based on the INA score and body mass index among female students enrolled in the 2023/2024 academic year at SMA Negeri 1 Simanindo.en_US
