Hubungan Kadar Profil Lipid terhadap Tingkat Keparahan Stroke Iskemik di Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Tahun 2023
The Relationship of Lipid Profile Levels to The Severity of Ischemic Stroke in The Hospital of Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis in 2023
Abstract
Background: Based on the results of Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), the
prevalence of stroke in Indonesia has increased 56% from 7 per 1000 population
in 2013 to 10.9 per 1000 population in 2018. High cholesterol levels, an inactive
lifestyle, and being overweight is often a major risk factor for ischemic stroke
regardless of gender and other cardiovascular factors. High cholesterol levels in
the blood vessels can cause the formation of atherosclerotic plaque which
contributes to ischemic stroke. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect
of lipid profile levels on the severity of ischemic stroke at Prof. Hospital. Dr.
Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis in 2023. Methods: This research uses an analitic
observasional research with "Cross Sectional" design. The sampling technique
used is total sampling. The data collection method in this study used secondary
data in the form of medical records. Data analysis used Fisher's Exact Test
analysis from Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS). Results: Test
results using the Fisher's Exact Test showed a p-value of Low Density Lipoprotein
(LDL) of 0.637 (p-value > 0.05), High Density Lipoprotein of 0.266 (p-value >
0.05), triglycerides of 1,000 (p-value > 0.05), and total cholesterol of 1,000 (pvalue
> 0.05). Conclusion: The results of the study show that there is no
significant relationship between lipid profile and the severity of ischemic stroke.
