dc.description.abstract | Introduction. Recent advances in prenatal diagnostic technology have led to the
development of fetal intervention procedures designed to treat congenital
malformation in utero. Fetal intervention procedures aim to improve infant
outcomes, enhance infant capabilities in the transition phase from intrauterine to
extrauterine, minimize obstetric complications, and prevent maternal and fetal
morbidity and mortality. Objective. This study aims to determine the characteristics
of pregnant patients who underwent fetal intervention at H. Adam Malik General
Hospital, Medan in 2022 – July 2024. Method. This study is a descriptive study
with a cross-sectional design. Data collection was carried out using secondary data
in the form of medical records at the H. Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan in
2022 – July 2024. The sampling method used the total sampling technique. The data
analysis used was a univariate test with a frequency distribution table. Result and
Discussion. The results of this study indicate that there were 13 pregnant patients
who underwent fetal intervention. The distribution of the age of pregnant patients
was mostly in the age group of 20-35 years (84.6%), gestational age of 14-27 weeks
