Rats reproduce rapidly and are commonly found in various environments. Excessive fear of rats (musophobia) can disrupt daily activities and hinder concentration. Effective therapy is needed, but creating an environment for interaction between patients and rats is very challenging. This study aims to use virtual reality with a VR Box to create a therapeutic environment that can reduce patients' fear of rats. The therapy method uses systematic desensitization as a gradual therapeutic approach. The research applies FSM to simulate behaviors such as patrolling, approaching the user, eating, and disappearing, while the Boids algorithm ensures that the rats do not collide with each other. The testing includes usability assessments by 2 experts and 30 users, a questionnaire to measure fear levels, and the use of an algorithm. The usability scores were 84.32% from the experts and 92.18% from the users. Out of the 30 users, 20 experienced a reduction in fear levels. These results indicate that VRET Musophobia is effective in reducing fear, implementing usability principles, and accurately modelling rat behavior using FSM and Boids.
