Hubungan Kualitas Tidur dengan Kejadian Nyeri Kepala Primer pada Karyawan PT. Valeo AC Indonesia

Abstract

Background. Poor sleep quality and primary headache are two health problems that often occur in society. Migraine and tension-type headache, as the two types of primary headache with the highest prevalence, feature in the top five positions in causes of years lived with disability (YLDs). Previous research has shown a complex relationship between sleep quality and primary headache. Objective. This study aims to analyze the relationship between sleep quality and primary headache among employees of PT. Valeo AC Indonesia. Method. This research is an analytical research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was selected through a consecutive sampling technique, consisting of 92 respondents. Data was taken directly from respondents as primary data using two questionnaires, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and the Headache Screening Questionnaire (HSQ). Results and Discussion. Univariate analysis showed that 30 respondents (32,6%) had poor sleep quality and 33 respondents (35,9%) experienced primary headache. Based on bivariate analysis, there were 16 respondents with primary headache who had poor sleep quality (p-value 0,015). Conclusion. There is a significant relationship between sleep quality and primary headache among employees of PT. Valeo AC Indonesia.
