dc.description.abstractBackground: Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in the world and the second most common in the male population and the fourth most common in women in Indonesia. Objective: To identify the profile of colorectal cancer patients at Haji Adam Malik General Hospital in the period January 2022 to October 2024. Method: This study used a cross-sectional research design. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a sample size of 307. The data collection method in this study used secondary data in the form of medical records and data analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Results: The majority of colorectal cancer patients are women, as many as 160 people. The largest age group of sufferers is 51-60 years old with a total of 87 people and abdominal pain is the most common clinical symptom. Adenocarcinoma is the majority of colorectal cancer types around 99.7% of the total cases and the most common location of cancer is in the rectum with a total of 192 cases. Stage IVA is the stage with the most frequent frequency found and totaling 87 cases. Surgery and chemotherapy are the most common treatments for colorectal cancer with a total of 228. Conclusion: Colorectal cancer patients at the Haji Adam Malik Central General Hospital from January 2022 to October 2024 were mostly women aged 51-60 years.en_US
