Abstract
This research is in Simangambat Village, Simangambat Village is one of the villages in Siabu District, Mandailing Natal Regency which depends on agriculture as a source of livelihood. This research aims to analyze the contribution of women farmers' activities to family welfare. The activities carried out by female farmers in Simangambat Subdistrict include roles in agricultural production, starting from the initial stage (planting rice), the maintenance stage (planting and weeding rice) and the final stage (harvesting rice) so that it can be consumed by all family members and acts as a housewife. ladder. The research method used by the author in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that female farmers are not only involved in physical work on agricultural land, but also have a large role in family financial management and children's education. Women farmers make a good contribution to the socio-economic welfare of the family, this can be seen from the ability of women farmers to help meet the daily needs of the family through their activities in agriculture. For example, the husband's work becomes lighter, the children receive adequate education and their kitchen needs are met. Furthermore, the researchers gave advice to female farmers to better understand their rights in the household and in the world of work. Women have the right to receive a lighter workload compared to men and in the household women have the right to be supported by their husbands.
