Background: Lung cancer is a malignancy that can occur as either primary or secondary cancer. The characteristics of lung cancer patients, including general characteristics, radiological findings, presence of scarring, and histopathological images, are established using medical record data from the Medical Records Installation at RSUP Haji Adam Malik. Aim To determine the frequency distribution of general characteristics of lung cancer patients, the location of radiological findings, the presence or absence of scarring, and histopathological images at RSUP Haji Adam Malik during the years 2022-2023. Method This research was designed as a descriptive analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. The data collected were based on total sampling. Results The frequency distribution of general characteristics of lung cancer patients by age group at RSUP Haji Adam Malik for the years 2022-2023 shows that the most common age group is 61-70 years, with 132 individuals (38.5%). By gender, the majority are male, totaling 264 individuals (77%). Regarding the history of lung disease, tuberculosis (TB) is noted in 153 individuals (44.6%), and among smoking history, the highest number is found in patients with a smoking history totaling 193 individuals (56.3%). Chi-Square test results indicate no relationship between general characteristics based on patient age and histopathological images (p=0.992), by gender (p=0.129), and by smoking history (p=0.778). Additionally, there is no relationship between radiological findings and histopathological images (p=0.170) or between scarring and histopathological images (p=0.702). Conclusion There is no relationship between lung cancer patient characteristics based on age groups, gender, and smoking habits with lung cancer, as well as between radiological findings and histopathological images at RSUP Haji Adam Malik during the years 2022-2023.en_US
