Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) is a highly beneficial substance widely used in various industrial sectors, including the textile industry as well as the pulp and paper industry. In addition to these sectors, hydrogen peroxide is also utilized in other industries such as furniture manufacturing, beverage packaging (especially tetrapack packaging), metal leaching processes, and water treatment. The preliminary design of the hydrogen peroxide plant from hydrogen and air is planned
to have a production capacity of 34,000 tons/year (4,292.930 kg/hour) and operate for 330 days per year. The plant is planned to be located in Gresik Industrial Area, Manyar District, Gresik Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. The total land area required for the construction of this hydrogen peroxide plant is 18,598.32 m². The plant will require 178 employees and will operate under a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational structure. The economic evaluation indicates the following financial parameters: Capital Investment (CI): Rp 2,523,999,457,211.56, Total Cost (TC): Rp 1,153,476,774,233.04, Profit Margin (PM): 34.11%, Break Even Point (BEP): 43.91%, Return on Investment (ROI): 17.03%, Return on Network (RON): 28.38%, Pay Out Time (POT): 5 years 11 months, Internal Rate of Return (IRR): 18.98%. Based on the economic analysis, this preliminary plant design is considered feasible for realization.
