dc.description.abstractChanges in cognitive function have their own impact on the lives of the elderly. Showing that changes in cognitive function in the elderly are significantly associated with increased depression and have an impact on the quality of life of an elderly person. In addition, the elderly who experience changes in cognitive function lose more relationships with others, even with their own families. This study aims to determine cognitive function in the elderly in the Hamparan Perak District work area. This study uses a cross sectional design, where data collection activities are carried out from one respondent for one time only, with a descriptive type of quantitative research. The sample in this study amounted to 156 people. Data collection using the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) questionnaire. The results of research conducted on 156 respondents showed that the elderly who experienced definite cognitive impairment were 8 people (5.19%), and the elderly who experienced probable cognitive impairment were 25 people (16.09%), and the elderly who experienced normal cognitive function were 123 people (78.896). The results of this study indicate that Cognitive Function in the Elderly in the Hamparan Perak District Working Area is normal.en_US
