Preliminary design of a biogas plant utilizing food waste, slaughterhouse blood waste, and tofu factory waste with a two-stage anaerobic fermentation process and a raw material capacity of 25,000 tonnes/year. This plant is designed to operate 330 days a year. The main process of this preliminary plant design, which uses a two-stage anaerobic fermentation process, consists of four stages: pretreatment, biogas formation, purification, and compression. The end product is methane with a purity of >98% at a pressure of 200 atm, resulting in bio-CNG with a production capacity of 3,267.63 tons/year and a bio-CNG volume of 7.57 m³/kg. The planned plant location is at the Maspion Industrial Estate, Gresik Regency, East Java, covering a total area of 15,246 m². Water requirements for this plant are supplied from the Kalimireng River, totaling 41,488,67 kg/h. The organizational structure of the planned company will be a Perseroan Terbatas (PT) with a line-and-staff organizational structure, employing a total of 125 people. Based on economic analysis, it is concluded that establishing the biogas plant from food waste, slaughterhouse blood waste, and tofu factory waste with a two-stage anaerobic fermentation process and a raw material capacity of 25,000 tonnes/year is feasible.
