Penundaan Pemilihan Kepala Desa Serentak Tahun 2023 di Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan

Abstract

The birth of Law No. 6/2024 on Villages in Indonesia has made the election of village heads better and more orderly in Indonesia. The election for village heads is done simultaneously throughout districts/towns. The policy on its implementation is stipulated by district/town administration in the form of regional regulation. The research uses qualitative method, and it yields descriptive analytic data which describe a condition or phenomenal status by using words or sentences that are separated according to their category in order to get the conclusion of all the problems by collecting data, qualifying them and connecting the theories related to the problems and drawing the conclusion to determine the result. The data obtained from field research and library research are collected and analyzed. The postponement of the election for regional heads in 2023 in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency occurs due to some factors such as the factor of budgeting from regional budget and the factor of politicization of a Regent so that legal uncertainty becomes the impact of this postponement of regional head election.
