Knowledge of appropriate antibiotics for society and attitudes toward antibiotic use will facilitate communication between the health care team and society. People's perception that accepts antibiotics is of great importance for successful therapy and prevention from resistance. The objective of this research is to identify society's knowledge of the antibiotic use in Kampung Mudik Village, Barus Subdistrict using descriptive research design. The population encompasses the society of 2024 in Kampung Mudik Village, Barus Subdistrict, with a total of 230 families and a sample size of 146 people, taken by using simple random sampling method. Questionnaires with multiple choice questions are used for data collection. The research findings show that 85 people have good knowledge (58.2%), 42 people have sufficient knowledge (28.8%), and 19 people have insufficient knowledge (13%). Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that society's knowledge of the use of antibiotics falls into a good category. Since there are still people with sufficient and insufficient knowledge, inter-professional collaboration is necessary to provide information about the correct use of antibiotics to prevent resistance.
