dc.description.abstractIntroduction. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic progressive inflammatory disease that causes permanent joint damage leading to an increased risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is an autoimmune disease that affects the potential of every tissue and system in the body. Objective. The study aims to analyze the comparison of FRAX Tool values in RA and SLE patients at HAM Hospital in Medan. Method. This study uses an observational analytical research method with a cross-sectional method using primary and secondary data. Results and Discussion. Of the 90 respondents of RA and SLE patients, in female RA patients (92.5%), aged 18-44 years (45%), normal BMI (42.5%), no history of fractures (80%), no history of femur fractures parents (100%), do not smoke (90%), consume glucocorticoids (70%), do not consume alcohol (95%), do not have secondary osteoporosis (80%). Of the 90 respondents, the FRAX score of major osteoporosis risk that got low risk was SLE patients (58.8%), moderate risk was RA patients (100%). For the FRAX score of hip fracture risk, low risk is SLE patients (61%), while high risk is RA patients (100%). A comparison of FRAX Tool values with the incidence of fractures in RA and SLE patients was found. Conclusion. RA patients are at higher risk of major osteoporosis (100%) and hip fractures (100%) compared to SLE patients.en_US
