dc.description.abstractAn institution's progress is influenced by both internal and external environmental factors. The extent to which the institution's goals have been achieved can be seen from how much it meets the environmental demands. Meeting the environmental demands means being able to take opportunities and or overcome challenges or threats from the environment of the institution. The institution must be able to per:form various activities in order to face or meet the demands and changes in the environment of institution. The research aims to analyze the effect of leadership Style, Self-Efficacy and Compensation on Employee Performance with Job Satisfaction in the Department of Public Works Medan. This is descriptive quantitative research and the population is the employees of Public Works Department in Medan with a total of 350 respondents. The sample size is detem1ined using the Slovin formula with a sample of 187 respondents. The samples are taken using simple random sampling. Data obtained are analyzed through PLS-SEM using the SmartPLS program. The results indicate that leadership Style has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, Self Efficacy has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, Compensation has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, Leadership Style has a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction, Seff Efficacy has a negative and insignificant effect on Job Satisfaction, Compensation ha.s a positive and insignificant effect on Employee Performance through Job Satisfaction, Leadership Style has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance through Job Satisfaction, Self Efficacy has a negative and insignificant effect on Employee Performance through Job Satisfaction, Compensation has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance through Job Satisfaction.en_US
