Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Keputusan Petani Padi dalam Menggunakan Pupuk Organik (Asus : Desa Lidah Tanah, Kecamatan Perbaungan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai)

Abstract

Agricultural land in Indonesia is experiencing declining fertility and soil damage and has experienced a decline in productivity, especially in rice fields. Fertilizer is a material that contains one or more nutrients needed by plants to support their growth. This study aims to determine the factors that influence rice farmers' decisions in using organic fertilizers. This study was conducted in Lidah Tanah Village, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency from July to September 2024. The research method used was Descriptive Analysis and Logit model, while the sampling method used was purposive sampling method with 71 respondents. The data collection method used observation and interview methods. The results showed that age, experience and income of farmers in the previous planting season had a significant effect on decisions. Meanwhile, the level of education, the role of extension workers and farmers' perceptions of using organic fertilizers did not have a significant effect on farmers' decisions in using organic fertilizers.
