Effect of NPK Fertilizer Dosage and LOF Of Tofu Waste Concentration on Growth and Production of Green Mustard (Brassica juncea L.)
Abstract
Effect of NPK Fertilizer Dosage and LOF Of Tofu Waste Concentration on Growth and Production of Green Mustard (Brassica juncea L.) supervised by RATNA ROSANTY LAHAY. Caisim mustard is a popular vegetable and contains the necessary nutrients such as energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates, fibre, phosphorus, iron, sodium, potassium and a source of vitamin A. Cultivation using tofu waste liquid organic fertilizer can be done because tofu waste liquid organic fertilizer contains a lot of organic matter. Generally, plants need nutrients N, P, and K in compound and single forms. This study aims to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer dosage and concentration of tofu waste liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and production of green mustard. This research was conducted at Pasar 1 Tanjung Sari. Medan Selayang Subdistrict, Medan City, North Sumatra Province with an altitude of ±25 meters above sea at coordinates 3°33'31.608 ‘N and 98°37'24.3588 “E” from June to September 2024. This study used a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The first factor was NPK fertilizer: 0, 200, and 400 kg/ha. The second factor was 0%, 25%, 50%, and 75% tofu liquid waste POC. The results showed that the application of NPK fertilizer affected plant length 2-4 WAT, number of leaves 2-4 WAT, total fresh weight, crown fresh weight, root fresh weight, selling fresh weight and harvest index. The highest selling fresh weight was at 400 kg/ha of NPK fertilizer which was not significantly different from the dose of 200 kg/ha. Tofu Liquid Waste liquid organic fertilizer had an effect on root fresh weight and harvest index. There was no interaction between the dose of NPK fertilizer and the concentration of tofu liquid waste liquid organic fertilizer on all parameters.
