Pra Rancangan Pabrik Sikloheksana dari Benzena dan Hidrogen dengan Proses Hidrogenasi Menggunakan Katalis Paladium Kapasitas 140.000 Ton/Tahun
Preliminary Design of a Cyclohexane Plant from Benzene and Hydrogen through Hydrogenation Process Using a Palladium Catalyst with a Capacity of 140.000 Tons/Year
Abstract
Pre-design of the cyclohexane production plant from benzene and hydrogen
through a hydrogenation process has a production capacity of 140.000 tons per
year and operates for 330 days per year. The main process in this plant's
preliminary design consists of three stages: raw material preparation, benzene
hydrogenation, and product separation and purification. The amount of benzene
required to reach the annual production capacity is 17.331.386 kg/hour. This
cyclohexane production plant, utilizing a hydrogenation process from benzene and
hydrogen, is planned to be established in the Krakatau Steel Industrial Area,
Cilegon, West Java, with a total plant area of 21.061 m². The water requirements
for the plant will be supplied by PT Krakatau Tirta Industri at a rate of 367.803.873
kg/hour. The planned company organization form is a Limited Liability Company
(PT) with a line and staff organizational structure, employing a total of 99 peoples.
The economic evaluation shows an investment capital (CI) of IDR 697.349.494.906,
total production costs of IDR 2.899.774.328.505, and sales of IDR
3.505.756.090.994, with a net profit of IDR 456.281.267.073. The profit margin is
37,35%, ROI is 32,58%, and IRR is 52,2%. The project is projected to break even
(BEP) at 36,1% of the capacity, with an investment payback period (POT) of 2
years and 2 months. Based on the economic analysis, the preliminary design of this
plant is considered feasible for realization.
