Tingkat Pengetahuan Tentang Vaksinasi HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) pada Ibu di Puskesmas Kelurahan Terjun Kecamatan Medan Marelan Tahun 2024

Abstract

Introduction : Cervical cancer is cancer that occurs in a woman's cervix. The cause of cervical cancer is the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Several risk factors for cervical cancer can be changed and prevented, so education and prevention are very important to reduce the rate of cervical cancer. Objective : This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of mothers about the HPV vaccine at the Puskesmas Terjun. Method : An analytical observational study with a cross sectional study design using consecutive non-probability to obtain accidental sampling. Data were collected from questionnaires filled out by mothers at the Puskesmas Terjun who met the inclusion criteria and then analyzed using the SPSS application. Result : Of the 96 samples, 35 samples are early adults, 48 samples are high school/vocational school graduates, 83 samples are domestic workers, 56 samples are Javanese, 52 samples have more than 2 children, it can be concluded that the majority have a level of knowledge about the HPV vaccine less (94.8%). Conclusion : The level of knowledge about the HPV vaccine at the 2024 Puskesmas Terjun is low.
