dc.description.abstract | The aim of this thesis is to look at how Komi’s social environment is helping her improving her communication skills. Komi disorder is called Social anxiety Disorder or Social Phobia. It’s a disorder where a person can’t communicate because they overthink, they are scared that they might be saying the wrong thing and might offend the people they’re communicating with. It needs to be noted that people with Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) can’t communicate not because they want to. Based on Characterization theory is used in this thesis to look at Komi’s improvement in com-munication happened because of her friends and her personal feelings. The scope of the study is between the 1st and 415th chapter of the manga. The author analyze how Komi’s friends especially Tadano help Komi in improving her communications skill. In this research, the author hoped that what happen to Komi throughout the manga can help people with SAD relation to cure them. Using Chatman characterization theory, the author looking at how Komi’s friends affecting her commu-nication skills. The result reveals that Komi’s communication is improving mostly from her friends. The personal factors of her communication improvement is because of her feelings to-wards Tadano. | en_US |
