dc.description.abstract | Code mixing or mixing two language elements often occurs in a film. One of them is the film pacar ketinggalan tiket. The film Pacar Kebatasan Tiket is a film originating from Malaysia with most of the dialogue in Malay, English and Indonesian. This is called a code mixing event. Code mixing is the use of two languages in language events. Thus, this film is analyzed using sociolinguistic theory. The purpose of this research is to find out the types of code mixing and what factors cause code mixing in the film Pacar ketinggalan tiket Tiket. The method used in this research is a qualitative method by collecting, describing and analyzing data contained in the film. The data in this research is the conversational dialogue of the characters. The research results show that the type of code mixing in this film is that there is only outer code mixing which predominantly uses Malay and English. There are 7 factors that cause code mixing, namely limited use of code, use of popular terms, conversation partner, mode of conversation, topic, function and purpose, and subject of discussion or topics. The most dominant factor that causes code mixing in the film Pacar Ketinggalan Tiket is the use of popular terms. | en_US |
