dc.description.abstractBackground. Violence against living victims can occur in various forms, such as blunt violence. Blunt violence happens because the impact of a blunt object on the body. Aims.. This research aims to acknowledging the Wound Pattern of Blunt Violence Injuries in Living Victims examined at the Forensic Departement of Rumah Sakit Umum Haji Medan in 2022-2023. Method. Descriptive research with retrospective approach. Sampling was using the Total sampling technique, namely Visum et Repertum. Result. The number of incidents that has been examined at the Forensic Department of Rumah Sakit Umum Haji Medan in 2022-2023 is 779 cases. Based on age, the majority are in the age range of 26-45 years old, namely in 2022 (47.7%), and in 2023 (49.1%). Based on gender, the majority are male, namely in 2022 (75.5%) and in 2023 (69.8%). Based on the wound locations, the majority is facial, namely in 2022 (41.7%) and in 2023 (43.9%). Based on the wound types, the majority is abrasions, namely in 2022 (53.3%) and in 2023 (51.8%). And based on the injury degrees, the majority is degree of minor injuries, namely in 2022 (72.2%) and in 2023 (68%). Conclusion. From this research, it is concluded that the most age classification are 26-45 years old, the most gender are male, the most location of injuries is Facial, the most types of wounds is abrasions and the degree of the most injuries is the degree of minor injuries.en_US
