Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Keputihan (Fluor Albus) dengan Perilaku Pencegahan Keputihan pada Remaja Putri di MAN 2 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Introduction. Vaginal discharge (Fluor Albus) is a fluid that comes out of the female external genitalia and is not blood, which is divided into physiological (normal) and pathological (abnormal) vaginal discharge. Objective. To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of vaginal discharge with vaginal discharge prevention behavior in adolescent girls at MAN 2 Pekanbaru. Methods. This study used a cross sectional design, with a total sampling technique of 170 adolescent girls in class X at MAN 2 Pekanbaru. Data were obtained from primary data using questionnaires distributed directly to respondents. Results. Adolescent girls at MAN 2 Pekanbaru have more good knowledge about vaginal discharge. Adolescents with good knowledge about vaginal discharge had more good preventive behavior about vaginal discharge (92.4%), while adolescents with adequate knowledge about vaginal discharge had more adequate preventive behavior about vaginal discharge (4.1%). Based on statistical analysis using the Fisher Exact Test, the sig value is 0.000 (sig <0.05), so there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the preventive behavior of vaginal discharge in adolescent girls. Conclusion. This study found a relationship between the level of knowledge of vaginal discharge and the behavior of preventing vaginal discharge in adolescent girls at MAN 2 Pekanbaru.
