Introduction. Nagur Village, Tanjung Beringin District, is a hypoendemic malaria and endemic dengue fever area in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province. Desa Nagur has six hamlets spread across very different geographical conditions, ranging from river estuaries to hard plant plantations and rice fields, which have various types of mosquito breeding sites. The entomological index is an indicator for monitoring the density of mosquito larvae as vectors of malaria and dengue in a specific residential area. Additionally, the entomological index can be used as an effort to determine mosquito control in the residential area. Mosquito larva control is influenced by community behavior, which includes knowledge, attitudes, and actions. Objective. To determine the relationship between community behavior in mosquito control and the entomological index in Tanjung Beringin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province. Method. This research was conducted using a correlational analytic method with a crosssectional design employing random sampling techniques, specifically including every house within a 50-meter radius. Results. The entomological index includes the house index (HI) 22.12%, CI 13.64%, BI 76%. The community's behavior in mosquito control is mostly in the poor category (89.4%). There is no relationship between behavior and the presence of mosquito larvae (p>0.05). Conclusion. The density of mosquito larvae in Nagur Village is in the moderate category. There is no relationship between community behavior in mosquito control and the entomological index in Tanjung Beringin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province.en_US
