dc.description.abstract | This research aims to describe the forms of lexical production disorders of Indonesian nouns and thinking disorders experienced by elderly people with dementia in the Asam Kumbang sub-district. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The data collection technique used in this research is the listening and speaking method. From the research results, it was found that there was a disturbance in the lexical production of nouns experienced by elderly people with dementia in this study who were characterized by a disturbance in producing words. This lexical production disorder is only focused on concrete lexical nouns consisting of household furniture, office equipment, electronic equipment, mass media, fruit, animals, tableware, cooking utensils, plants, kitchen spices, toiletries and geographical names and food. Sufferers are unable to differentiate between one lexical item and another. Thinking disorders characterized by loss of memory or memory. Short term memory disorders experienced by subjects namely FT, SB and SM include forgetting where they live, disorientation in time regarding days, months and years. The patient was unable to recall the names of 3 objects after 5 minutes had passed. The long-term memory impairment experienced by dementia sufferers in this study was that they could not remember what type of fruit and food they had eaten during the past week. All data was found from interviews with research subjects, namely elderly people with dementia who complained about Asam Kumbang. | en_US |
